Description

Tubes made of polyethylene are certified according to KIWA BRL K563. The PE tube is the most commonly used, economical, disposable hose for groundwater sampling. To prevent cross-contamination to other monitoring wells, the tube is only used once. The tube is compliant with physico-chemical requirements as laid down in the standard DIN 8072 and for KIWA BRL K563.

The PE tube is available in several variations:

12.20.03 Tube 4 x 6 mm, 100 metres long

12.20.04 Tube 6 x 8 mm, 100 metres long

Notes

  • Will adsorb volatile substances (toluene, benzene) when stored near engines, plastic fuel canisters
  • Limited stiffness for ball valve pump application (use HDPE hose 121505)
  • Uptake and release of pollutants; replace hose with each new sample
  • Not suitable for hot liquids
