Description

Royal Eijkelkamp's percussion gouge augers can carry out soil sampling in harder soils or in top layers containing rubble or stones, for example in urban areas. With percussion drilling the gouge is driven into the ground with a percussion hammer. The lower part of this percussion gouge is fitted with a hardened cutting head. Samples that have been gouged with a percussion gouge suffer little damage. The lower part of the percussion gouge has a length of 39.4" (1 m) and has an RD32 connection. With this connection the percussion gouges and extension rods are screwed together using a coupling sleeve. The RD32-connection is used in firmer, drier soils.
