Hydraulic conductivity

Determination of the water permeability, also called hydraulic conductivity, is important for agricultural and environmental soil research. The permeability factor is also important to determine the extent to which pollution can spread in the soil. The permeability of the soil can be determined in the laboratory as well as directly in the field.
