Knowledge of the quality of the soil, groundwater and sediment is of importance for the value of real estate, liabilities and risks of environmental pollution.
The aim of this form of research is to gain insight into the environmental-hygienic quality of the soil and to map out possible contaminants in the soil. Based on the results of the investigation and the destination of the land, it is decided whether or not remediation is necessary.
Environmental research is indispensable to arrive at a good qualitative and/or quantitative assessment of soil quality, the quality of (ground) water and aquatic sediment.
